7 Ways to Make Your Home Feel Cleaner

7 Ways to Make Your Home Feel Cleaner
As many people do not have the time for daily cleaning, things may start to feel unclean quickly. I wanted to share some of the areas & tips I’ve learned throughout the years to upgrade the cleanliness of your home quickly. Many people miss or neglect a few areas that are essential to your home feeling clean, hopefully you don’t.

1. The Doors

If someone were to take a look at the door of the home what would they see? Probably a lot of smudges and scuff marks making the door appear dirty. Simply cleaning the smudges and scuffs off the door can have a huge impact on the overall feel of a home. Magic erasers and soapy water will do the trick and this can be done in as little as ten minutes.

2. Baseboards

Baseboards are a beautiful addition to the home but can collect a lot of dust and dirt as time goes on. However, they are super simple to clean and it can affect how the whole house looks. If the baseboards are dusty simple use a dust want. If there is more than dust and they are dirty use water and soap or even an all-purpose cleaner to ensure they are sparkly clean.

3. Blinds

No matter the type of blind a person has in their home, they are probably not cleaned as often as they should be because they are a pain in the butt. However, cleaning blinds can make a huge difference in the appearance of a home. To make this chore simple only set a goal to clean the blinds in one room a day. This makes it easier and causes less stress. Use a microfiber cloth to dust or specific blind cleaning tools.

4. Glass Sliding Doors and Glass Storm Doors

If the home has children or even pets these doors are going to be smudged. Dogs will leave their nose prints on these doors and children will leave palm and finger smudges on the door causing a very dirty looking door. If these are cleaned regularly then the whole house seems cleaner. Clean glass always makes the whole room appear to be brighter. Simply use a glass cleaner and paper towel or newspaper to wipe off the grimy smudges.

5. The Outsides of Kitchen Appliances

Appliances found in the kitchen also seem to attract those pretty smudge marks. Plus, it attracts fingerprints and dirt as well as grease. This is also because when working in the kitchen the hands are dirty because a person is busy cooking and grabs something without washing them first. This leaves more grime and grease.
To make the whole kitchen seem cleaner wipe down the fridge, stove, microwave, and oven for a cleaner appearance. It does not matter it the material is stainless steel or not, wiping the outsides of these appliances is going to bring a shine to the kitchen. Plus, it should only take five to ten minutes to do this job.

6. Throw Pillows

People love the look of throw pillows but after they have been sat on, they end up very sad looking and flat. To fix this, simply throw them in the dryer for about fifteen minutes. The heat of the dryer will fluff the pillows back into their beautiful new state. This is something to do if a person is expecting visitors to ensure their home is in tip-top condition.

7. That Lingering Smell

Every home has a smell that the owner has gone blind to (even me I’ll admit it). For example, if a home has pets, they may not notice how their home smells like their pet. This odor is something that is around them every day and they do not notice it, but their guests will as soon as they step into the door.
